It is FINALLY here! I am so excited to announce that the January Elle's Studio Exclusive Kit is available for you to get your crafty hands on :)
January 2015 Kit
You can get the monthly kit for $9.99 (~PHP 450) for this day only and after that, it goes up to the regular price of $11.99 (~PHP 540). The monthly kits + add-ons are limited, plus they contain exclusive items, and they will not be restocking once it runs out so you better act fast!
There are also a lot of really nice add-ons that were made to complement the main kit. We've got wood veneers, a stamp set as well as digital files for ya :)
January 2015 Add-ons
And of course, the Creative Team Gallery is overflowing with endless inspiration - all using this amazing kit! What a great kit to start of a new year, really.
Working with these exclusive items were a treat! I especially love the 3x4" pocket page cards + the shipping tag with "thank you" all over it in different languages. Keeping up with my "loose + free" attitude towards my PL, I created a couple of pages out of my norm. And I absolutely love those pages.
I'm really, really digging how all the pages look like when stacked on top of each other. I love the little peeks you get from the uneven page protector sizes ;) This year, I added a few different elements to my Project Life. One of them is the Introduction Page. It's really more of a short writing from expressing my why for this year. Why I'm scrapbooking with this certain process this year.
The 'Read This' tag is from the Elle's Studio January Kit. I love the bold contrast between the tag and the black text on a simple white page. Here's how the page looks like at the back. I used the stamps from Ali Edwards' Daily Story Stamp and repeatedly used it all over the white cardstock.
It's hard to notice in the photo but I used the Brilliance Galaxy Gold dew drop ink pad to stamp over some of the words. Just to provide a little oomph to the page. I love how this turned out!
Another new thing I'm doing this year is adding monthly divider pages to my Project Life. I used the Elle's Studio Hello 2015 calendar cards as the opening for each divider.
I used a strip of calendar washi tape from a past Studio Calico kit and stuck the "fresh start" sticker from the Elle's Studio Hello 2014 stickers. I used a camera paperclip I bought from Typo to bind the side of the page protector. Here's a secret: I cut out the Design C page protector to create this divider. So the right side of the first pocket is actually open. I don't have a sewing machine or sewing materials so I can't sew it shut just yet ;)
In the spirit of celebrations, I create a confetti shaker pocket using random confetti + wood veneer + plastic stars from my stash. I also added the '2015' cork shape from the Elle Studio Hello 2015 Cork Shapes. I love that pack! I'm actually proud of myself for not hoarding it all ;) Also, spot how I sealed the confetti pocket! So many uses for washi tape!
You know what's amazing about those Hello 2015 Calendar Cards? They're actually double-sided!
The sentiment at the back of the January card was perfect so I just added one of the cork stars to complete it. Simple!
I told you I loved all the 3x4" cards. I pretty much used up almost half of it in just two pages! This one is blank because I'm planning to write down my January favorites on it after the month. I'll update you in this card when January ends!
New Year's Eve
And finally, this is what my first 12x12" page looks like! I opted for an enlarged shot of fireworks here in Manila (not my photo though!) and the story of our New Year's Eve :) I won't be zooming in on the journaling just because it's a little too... exposed? You will just have to settle for this :)
My second 12x12" page is all about our NYE tradition - King's Cup! It's a drinking game, really, but for the little kiddos, they take "shots" of orange juice. I love how this has become one of our annual NYE traditions!
We didn't light a lot of fireworks this year and that's actually fine by me. Less pollution! But we did light this little sparklers, just for tradition's sake :)
The Best Year Ever card and the gold frame are from the Studio Calico Park Ave. PL Kit. The white alpha stickers (which are my favorite by the way!) are from Elle's Studio. Best white alpha stickers ever. You get a lot, and by that I really mean a lot, of letters in each sheet!
Ending this long post with my favorite part in this layout! I used one of the blank 3x4" cards from the Elle's Studio January Kit and stamped "celebration" with a gold ink. I added a blue star to complement my favorite die-cut from the kit - a shipping tag with "thank you" written in different languages! I added a pink thread there just for fun ;)
I know, this post was so long but I was just really excited about sharing every aspect of my first few layouts and how all the Elle's Studio products really helped me tell my stories :) Also, there are a lot of products in that kit for $9.99, actually even for $11.99! I used a lot of the products for these layouts but I still have enough left over for the entire January! As mentioned, the $9.99 price is only for today so go and get you Elle's Studio goodies right now ;)
'Til the next post! (*hint hint* It's a December Daily update!)
