Life, lately

Life has been a little all over the place for me lately. It's been an honest struggle between creating (you know, Project Life), running my small business, designing for clients and finding a day job. I'm still finding the best way to organize my time (downloading every night and planning my days have been extremely helpful!) and be productive.

While all that is happening, here some snapshots from my day-to-day:

Although I haven't been blogging about my Project Life spreads (soon, I promise!), I have been working on other projects. I'm actually almost done with Week 13, just a couple more photos are missing from the layout, and I'll be resuming with the usual spread shares ;)

My style have changed a lot since I've started scrapbooking and I think right now, it's closer to my design aesthetic. I'm really enjoying all the experimenting that I've been doing especially in the mini-book I made about Japan. I promise that the spread shares will be back soon! :)

I've been immersing myself everyday in Japanese culture: (1) I study Japanese every morning, (2) I changed my phone's language to Japanese and well, (3) I've been crazy about my favorite anime-turned-movie, Rurouni Kenshin.

For the first time in my life, I fangirl-ed over something. I like a lot of actors and shows and books but I've never fangirl-ed about any of them. August 6 marked my first ever attempt - I went to SM Megamall at 10:00am to get a good spot for when the main cast of Rurouni Kenshin would walk the red carpet. Oh yeah, the event wasn't until 4:00pm.

It was an amazing experience, albeit the bruises I got from the excited fangirls like me. I got to see Sato Takeru, Takei Emi and Munetaka Aoki up close. Emi-san and Aoki-san + Director Keishi even signed my Japanese RuroKen manga! ONE FOR THE BOOKS, but I'm definitely (I think?) never doing that again :)) That's what she said.

Some shots from the #DesignHerStory Conference! Hooray for actually introducing myself to Reese Lansangan, one of my all-time favorite inspirations :)

My (nonexistent) mailbox have been getting some action this month. I've sent two RAK (random act of kindness) packages to two people from the Project Lifers Philippines Facebook group, received one as well and mailed my first ever penpal letter... in Japanese... to Eri-san from Japan!

I'm so excited and thankful to have Eri-san as a penpal friend. She's so nice and she actually offered to help me with my Japanese via snail mail. I'm looking forward to receiving my first mail from her! (I hope I didn't make too many mistakes in my Japanese!)

Woah, I did not expect this post to be this long! To everyone who made it until the end, thank you for reading along and looking back on my life, lately. If you want to see more photos of my day-to-day life, you can follow me on Instagram :)
