It's that time of the month again! (And no ladies, I'm not talking about that time of the month #awkward) For us Filipinos, March means the start of a hot and humid summer. Definitely not my kind of weather (I've always preferred colder climate) but thankfully, it's the 10th of the month (PST) and I can finally show off that I've got my hands on some crafty greatness in the form of the March Elle's Studio exclusive kit!
March 2015 Kit
I love, love, love the muted, pastel colors in this kit! (And seriously, I love the lack of pink! I'm not a pink person so...) My favorite would have to be the Project Life cards and the vellum die-cut tags /faints
For this day only, you can get the kit for $9.99 (~PHP 450). After that, it goes up to the regular price of $11.99 (~PHP 530). These amazing kits are limited and they contain exclusive items. Once it runs out, they’re not restocking it so ya better click fast!
Elle's Studio also has some great digital add-ons in case you want to expand your kit. There's no excuse to document those March memories ;)
March 2015 Digital Add-ons
and of course... there's more!
Aside from the March Exclusive Kit, the new Elle's Studio collection 'Cienna' will be available for you!
In case you missed the romantic hues and the pinks, Cienna's got your back ;) I think those wood veener + patterned paper (and everything else, really!) deserves a spot in your scrapbook corner.
With all these new releases, you can bet that the Design Team Gallery is filled with inspiration on how to incorporate these fun new items into your layouts. Don't let this overwhelm you, we got you covered!
The kit was so easy for me to use, I basically just pulled *everything* from the March kit + some Cienna tidbits. I made these layouts in about two hours in total, thanks to the fact that everything coordinated well.
PS. Sorry for the poor photo quality, it's a little bit tricky shooting with a sorta defective phone camera :(
This layout is from our family Baguio City trip last January. For our first night, we ate at an 1950's American-inspired diner. The best part about the dinner? The chilly Baguio wind creeping through the windows / open doors. I love cold weather, really.
I don't think I can ever make another layout without using the Elle's Studio letters and numbers stickers. #GOTTAHAVETHEMALL
Totally forgot to stamp the date there but who's checking?
I think I squealed a little when I saw that "FAVORITE" wood veener from the Cienna collection. I was just about to use the letter stickers (totally a good option /alternative) to spell out FAVORITE and then I rummaged through the collection and saw this. Oh yes.
Here and There
Some short stories that make up a huge part of my February. I was totally debating against putting two selfies in one layout but hey, this is my album so I guess that's to be expected ;)
A three-cheese pasta dish that looks way yummier in the photo #sorrynotsorry
And a burrata that's totally yummier in person than how it looks in the photo!
♫ And I got that red lip classic thing that you like... ♫
One of the best thing about the monthly kit are these simple, versatile journaling cards. I love that I can stamp / write out any header that I want and that it has a lot of space for intentional journaling.
I watched The Imitation Game with Nico for Valentine's Day and it was, as expected, amazing. (Please note that I do have a bias for historical / war / biographical movies + Benedict Cumberbatch) My favorite part about movie nights with Nico? We love discussing the movie in-depth on a really intellectual level right after the credits roll in.
My layouts usually take on a minimalist approach and I always make sure to use embellishments that enhance my photo + story but you can definitely pile on the embellishments if you want to ;) There's a lot in the monthly kit and I'm sure you'll enjoy layering the designs.
As usual, I love seeing what you do with your Project Life / memory-keeping project so comment down below@
