I'm back with another Project Life spread share for you guys. Week 2 is one of my favorite weeks in terms of style... probably because of the amazing wood veneer alphas from Studio Calico's Copper Mountain Project Life kit.
To reconcile the multiple photos + stories + design elements, I picked a color theme for the entire spread. Yep, yellow! I think this is going to be an ongoing technique for me - choosing cards and design elements based on color first. Just a way to balance things out.
One of my favorite techniques is splitting an image over two 3x4 pockets. It adds a bit of variation as opposed to just sticking the photos on one card. It's useful too if you have a lot of bigger pictures and not enough 4x6 slots.
My spreads can get a bit cluttered sometimes so I like to balance it out by designating a filler only pocket. In this page, I used the "Celebrating Everyday" filler card from the Seafoam Core Kit. I actually didn't buy the physical version of the kit since Project Life kits are hard to find here. I bought the digital version and printed it myself ;)
That's it for my week two spread! If you also do Project Life, you can link your work at the comments section and I'll definitely check it out! I love looking at how people incorporate their own styles in the pocket-page scrapbooking format :)
