Okay. You might think I've lost it when you see this spread. You see, I can get pretty invested in anything I read / watch. You've been warned.
WEEK 16 CHALLENGE: create a shaker pocket
This is probably one of my most favorite spreads ever. And yes, that's mostly because of the entire right page. I've been watching a Korean drama, You Who Came From the Stars, and I can honestly say that this is the best drama I've watched. I guess, you can deduce that from looking at the layout, ha!
I had a theme in mind when I created this spread - I want it to look glamorous + classy. A tribute to how Cheon Song Yi (lead role in the drama) and Do Min Joon (lead man in the drama) are in the drama. I know, I've lost it. The black + white combination provide the classy part and coupling it with lots of gold makes it glamorous.
Before I go gaga over the drama, I did do other things during this week. We finished painting the room a combination of chocolate brown and a lighter brown. Yes, it did make our room a bit smaller + darker but we love how cozy it feels.
You also get a sneak peek into my workstation! It looks way different now (definitely added a lot of stuff) but I'm still pretty much confined within these shelves.
I also got my Rewards Status from Studio Calico! Although, you could say I cheated because I took advantage of the promotional offer they had that week.
My sister got Pokémon X for her birthday last week. I tried it out briefly before Alyssa made her save file and it's pretty amazing how much Pokémon has changed over the years! I remember playing it in a Gameboy before and it's not nearly as advanced as it is now!
Okay, I am getting too excited just looking at this layout! Because I've spent most of the week watching this show, I feel that it deserved the entire layout ;)
Definitely my favorite! I used the Wanderlust Mistable Alpha Stickers from Studio Calico, spritzed on some Gold Mr. Huey's Mist and stuck it on a star transparency from the Studio Calico Blue Note Scrapbook Kit! PERFECT.
THIS SCENE. THIS SCENE. MY HEART, OH MY HEART.
Ok, quick snippet - Do Min Joon is an alien (okay, don't laugh) and he has the power to stop time for a minute. In this scene, he was pushing Cheon Song Yi away because he knows it'll be complicated and he might end up hurting her in the end. But just when Cheon Song Yi was leaving, he stopped the time and freakin' kissed her, over a lake of ice while it's snowing. MY FLUTTERING HEART.
I am half-restraining myself from telling the story behind the photo on the right so I'm going to talk about the shaker pocket instead. I had a lot of chipboard + confetti stars that I thought would be perfect for this spread. I gathered them and just quickly put them inside the pocket. How did I seal it, you may ask? I used washi tape! I don't have a sewing machine so that's out for now but I figured that I'll get to it in the future. For now, I just stuck some washi tape over the opening (I just removed it for the photo). Challenge complete!
how about you?
Have you ever dedicated an entire layout or maybe a few cards to a show? Or basically gone crazy obsessed with something and scrapped about it? I want to see 'em! (I might also end up watching the show, ha.) Seriously, Korean dramas can be so interesting nowadays!
