Project Life 2014: Week 15

It's almost the end of 2014 and here I am, blogging about Week 15. Crazy times, indeed. I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things and although many things will change in the next few days (hello day job!), I love that I'm able to create + keep my memories intact through Project Life. For this reason, despite how behind I've been, I still love this little big project. Project Life 2014: Week 15 • Organized! by Pam

WEEK 15 CHALLENGE: writing on photos

This was a very busy week - I had interviews scheduled, bedroom renovation and birthday celebrations. This week, I was inspired. I'm amazed at how looking at these photos, I remember how I felt that week despite it being many months ago. Thank you, Project Life.

Busy, busy spread! I didn't really choose a theme here or deliberately plan anything. I just cut and pasted, cut and pasted. The only premeditated thing here was to use one set of big alphas. I used the Amy Tangerine Plus One Kraft Chipboard Alphas. It's a great neutral to use whenever I want to balance out a busy layout.

I'm still into the whole fake stitching challenge that I did for Week 14. I used the cards that came with the Stitched class from Studio Calico + used a marker to draw stitch lines over the alphas.

I found this old photograph of me and my mom, I think when I was around 5 / 6 years old. I really, really like this photo of us :) (And as you can see, I didn't stitch over the pattern on the card. Maybe next time.)

Like I said, I was inspired this week. A lot of it has to do with the new blogs I've been following + new products / tools that fit with my personality. I like this photo of all my planning + productivity tools! I thought it would be a good idea to jot down exactly what each of the items are. Challenge complete!

This week, I committed to owning a blog. I didn't have a concrete plan but I just went ahead and did it anyway. And well, things have been pretty great so far! I love how through this blog, I feel that I am creating a time capsule of myself - what I like / dislike, what interests me, what  lights me up.

This was the week of Alyssa's 16th birthday. Ah, I can't believe that girl's sixteen already. I still vividly remember when she was still wearing diapers.

I only used one set of alphas for this spread so I had to make some changes in order to keep it from looking too coordinated. In my title card, I wrote on top of the letters to make it look stitched. On this card, I painted the letters yellow using my Sakura Koi watercolor set.

We painted our room that week! As much as I wanted to have white walls (all the amazing light!), it's really not very practical when you're living in a very dusty country / area. At some point, all those white is going to look ugly and dirty.

over to you

Do you sometimes just want to let loose and go crazy on scrapbooking? This takes me back to my first ever Project Life spread. Looking at it now makes me cringe a little but I'm glad I documented everything in a style that I had back then.
